Impromptu Summer Shoot 2011

Posted by On April - 24 - 2011 | Share on Facebook!

So I’ve been pretty lazy the last year or so, but after putting together a very nice b5 a4 for a customer of mine, he needed pictures. So I got a few other enthusiasts together and had a shoot. I asked a friend, photographer and fellow VW enthusiast, Jonathan Rogers, to come along on the shoot and between the two of us, we should come up with some good shots.
I shot mostly with a Tokina 10-17mm, thanks to LensRentals.com, but also the 18-55 kit lens, 50mm f1.8 and a 70-200 f2.8L, which was good to have, but wasnt absolutely necessary for this type of shoot.
Probably my favorite shot of the weekend was of Jonathan’s beetle, taken on a pre-shoot we did the night before everyone got together, to see what locations we wanted to use.

We ended up doing several shoots that weekend, nothing really going as planned. Nick’s 350z and Jermelle’s G35 would have been awesome to shoot together, but Nick’s car didnt want to cooperate and lost the pulley on the a/c compressor on the way to the shoot. So we just shot Chris’s cobalt and Barry’s beast of an srt-4. Enough blabbering, enjoy the pictures!
